PGA Director of Instruction

Since arriving at 1757, Scott Holmes has built the top Junior Golf Program in the Middle Atlantic Section and PGA Jr. League Program that has ranked in the Top 10 Nationally since 2018. Scott has guided his 13u and 17u PGA Jr. League All Stars to the National Championship 5 time, winning the Championship with his 17u Dragons Team in 2023.

In addition to coaching, Scott is passionate about teaching players fundamentals of the golf swing and developing a love for the game. Scott enjoys working with players of all ages and helping them find the magic in their individual swing. 

Scott began his teaching career at Sea Pines Resort under the tutelage of Rick Barry (Golf Digest Top 100 Instructor). During his time at Sea Pines, Scott became well versed at providing instruction in private and group settings. Scott has also worked with junior golfers in Sea Pines' Future Stars Program.

Upon moving to Northern Virginia, Scott found his niche with juniors as the First Assistant Golf Professional at the Piedmont Club. While at Piedmont, he completely revamped the Junior Program, providing a structured learning environment for his students. 

Scott's unique skills at creating youth golf programs that motivate and tap into the potential of developing players has been demonstrated by his year-over-year career success.
